By Bus
Use the Corfu City Bus number 15 blue bus, which connects the airport to the port, passes the Green Bus station, and continues via the city centre, specifically San Rocco Square (where you can connect with local city routes using the Blue Bus service). Staying on the bus takes you to the port, for ferry and cruise ship terminals, indicated by a green or orange route on our app, depending on your start location.
On Foot
Walking to the Green Bus station from the airport, following our green route, takes around 20 minutes.
From the Port to the Airport
Corfu City Bus number 15 service returns via a different route indicated in orange, via Corfu's outdoor market, San Rocco Square, the Green Bus station, then on to the airport.
Yes, you can. It's often easier to carry cash and buy bus tickets directly from the driver on both blue city buses and green intercity buses in Corfu. You can also purchase tickets at ticket machines, kiosks, or at the main Green Bus Station, which can sometimes be cheaper. Always check the route fare and destination before boarding.
No, you can take the blue bus number 15, which operates from Corfu Airport, passing through the Green Bus Station, and stops at San Rocco Square, where the main blue bus terminal is located, before continuing to the port. This public transport service runs every 30 minutes.
It’s important to note that reaching beaches by bus takes longer than by car, and you’ll need to stick to the bus schedule. While the Green Buses provide a convenient and affordable way to travel around Corfu, they can sometimes be late or crowded, especially during the peak tourist season.
It can be challenging to reach some beaches and attractions in Corfu by bus, and some walking may be required. However, using the public bus service offers a convenient way to get to various parts of the island, especially when parking is limited or difficult in certain areas, such as Corfu Town or popular tourist spots. The Blue buses and Green buses provide reliable transport options for visitors. Additionally, the Corfu Travel Guide app allows you to overlay maps, helping you find beaches, sightseeing spots, restaurants, cafes, and more close to the bus routes, making your trip even easier to navigate.
Timetables change frequently to accommodate visitor numbers. The Corfu Travel Guide app is regularly updated with the latest Green Bus timetables to meet demand, making it a reliable source for real-time information. The Blue buses also feature an electronic timetable, accessible via a link at every bus stop. Having the timetables directly on the app ensures you can easily access Green Bus routes and timing updates on the go.
The blue city buses operate frequent routes within Corfu Town, with departure points located at San Rocco Square. These buses connect the city centre with popular tourist destinations such as Ipsos, Benitses, Pelekas, and Aqualand
The green intercity buses, operated by KTEL Corfu, are independently owned and cover longer distances, serving various resorts, villages and reaching more remote parts of Corfu Island.
Once downloaded, you'll see blue categories at the top of the screen. Scroll left to find the new Green Bus Routes for North and South Corfu. Each one has information on getting to and from the airport.
Open the route you want, find and open the red information pin. This has information about the route and a key to what the icons represent, along with the blue information with additional information, telling you where the bus diverts, etc.
Where are the timetables?
The orange icons in all the Green Bus categories display the bus's departure time from that bus stop and times along that route. Under that, you will see the time it returns to the bus station.
Our app functions without internet connectivity. With the app open and your GPS/location turned on, you can watch live while travelling on the bus or walking around. Disable your GPS/location service on iOS to save your device’s battery.
